Update, Feb. 14: Redd is ADOPTED!
New York, NY – January 15, 2016: Redd comes to us from the Bahamas, where he and two of his litter mates were rescued at the age of two months and brought to the local Abaco shelter. As Redd grew, it became evident he has dealing with congenital bone issues in his legs. We worked hard to bring Redd into our program and get him all the way to NYC and on Jan. 9, 2016, he finally arrived!
Redd is currently in foster care in Browns Mills, NJ where he is thriving with the McDonald’s and their three resident pups. Because Redd is shy, he will do best in a home with other dogs – he really opens up when he is with them and becomes his true self!
Redd appears to be a mix of GSD/Basset Hound and is looking for a home outside a big city where he can enjoy a quite and mellow life with another pup to be his best friend. Redd is estimated to be 8-months-old, and is house trained, neutered and up to date on vaccinations. He is currently undergoing additional orthopedic examinations to ensure that his congenital bone deformities will not hinder his life but it currently appears he will be fine as he gets along very on his own and loves to play, romp and waddle!
