Mr. Bones & Co.’s second annual Rescue the Runway on May 21, 2014 at 91 Horatio is Manhattan’s famed West Village was a huge success! This animal welfare and pet adoption benefit united shelters and rescue groups from each of the five boroughs of Manhattan, in addition to Long Island, New Jersey and Connecticut. As beneficiaries of the event, Animal Haven, Louie’s Legacy, Thank Dog Rescue, Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue, Husky House, Ruff House Rescue, Heavenly Angels and the dogs of Yonkers Animal Shelter received a portion of the benefit’s proceeds.
Animal Welfare is a global issue; working together is crucial to eradicating pet homelessness, overpopulation, neglect and abuse. Rescue the Runway’s mission is to highlight the multitude of efforts within our communities, drive public awareness and present a united front. When animal welfare advocates, shelters and rescue groups work together for change, compassion turns into action!
This year’s event featured the debut of our Pitbull Kissing Booth that melted hearts. We hope to see you at Rescue the Runway 2015, in either New York City on May 30, 2015 or in either Chicago or Boston! For real time updates, please follow our Facebook page.
