September 2019 - Joey survived Hurricane Dorian, a Category 5 storm that destroyed the shelter he was in on Abaco Island, Bahamas, where he had been waiting to be adopted for 18 months. Since we rescued him, he became a "foster fail" by our founder, stepping into the role as our nonprofit's Helper Dog, due in large part to his incredible temperament with humans and dogs alike.
