Heineken, 6 mos, 33lbs., was found on Independence Day weekend wandering as a stray in Brooklyn. Two officers from the NYPD picked him up and called us, in an effort to avoid bringing him to a high kill city shelter. We eagerly accepted this hilarious and funny puppy into our One Lucky Pup rescue and adoption program. During his vetting we found that he was walking, running, playing and being a super love-bug, all with a broken paw! This little one is so good natured that he exhibited no signs of pain-based aggression! Our vet re-set it and he has been in a cast since. He will be able to go cast-free in early September, but he doesn’t let this stop him from being our little social butterfly.
Heineken is great with all other dogs, does not chase cats and of course, LOVES people! He is neutered, up to date on all shots and almost completely house trained. He is being fostered in New York City and gets along beautifully with the home’s other male adult dog.
